Oh how I love her. At 5:45 pm I was holding her in my arms and once again I was a mother.
And these little girls I have are the greatest gift of my life.
We went to St. George to celebrate with Ben's two other sisters who also have birthdays on January 30th. It was a great time.
The girls were able to play at two parks and even take their coats off. I think it was heaven for them to be outside and not have to be all bundled up. Brooklyn has now had two birthday dinners and a birthday dessert night to celebrate with all sides of the family. It has been a fun weekend and start of the week.
Brooklyn at two:
1. Doesn't want to wear a coat ANYWHERE. For that matter, she doesn't want to wear clothes, but doesn't get her way in this fight unless we are at home. One day I had to drop everything I had at a store because she was rolling on the ground crying that she had to wear clothes and she wanted them off....She was meant for the heat...Hawaii maybe?
2. She loves to sing and dance. She knows the names of the songs she likes and currently she wants ADELE. She loves to sing to it with her sisters in the car. She also knows all the words to party rock anthem. sad.
3. She loves shoes, and has to be the one to pick out which ones she will wear each day.
4. She tries everything her older sisters try, and it is killing her that she isn't old enough to do hula yet. She sits outside the glass doors and watches and it makes both of us sad. But she will fight you for the poi balls. She loves doing them with her sisters.
5. She just started eating apples in slices. Before, she would have to have the whole apple in order to eat apples at all. She thought that it tasted different if she had the whole thing. FINALLY she will eat the apples in slices.
6. She can pull some really funny facial expressions. Seriously. Don't try to punish her while she is doing one of these faces. You will laugh. She will win.
7. She loves "double gum" and her new "guinny deans" (bubble gum and skinny jeans)
8. She talks like a 16 year-old. And it fits well because she has the attitude to go with it.
9. She gives the best morning hugs.
10. She loves new pajamas.
11. She has learned to blame everything on Boston because Boston is usually the one in the most trouble. She thinks I will believe it every time. Poor Bos. Poor me.
12. She takes her skirts off at church. She has lots of cute skirts, but I usually have to put her in dresses now because she can't get them off. At church she just wants to be in tights.
13. She repeats what you say to her in question format, but she says it in a really excited voice that gets higher as the phrase comes out. For example:
Mom: Brooklyn I love you so much!
Brooklyn: You love ME mom?
14. She doesn't want lotion on after the tub. Sorry. You are my driest child.
15. She loves her family. She LOVES to see anyone and everyone in her extended families and loves to say all of their names.
16. She yells at everyone at meal time because she wants to always say the prayer and let no one else ever have a turn. You can imagine how this goes over with Boston.
17. We love her so much. She can make us laugh so easily.
What a wild girly house we have. If you are ever short on glitter, tutus, high little giggles, or drama...come on over. We have it in spades.
